GIVING BACK
The greatest joy in life is to utilize one’s time, talent and treasure to build up others with the ultimate goal of bringing glory to the Lord. Since our founding, we have given a percentage of our firm’s profits to ministries that we believe carry out the Great Commission (Matthew 28: 16-20) and provide for the least of our brothers and sisters (Matthew 25: 31-46).
As we continue to grow our business and increase our profitability, we plan on giving an increasing percentage of our profits to a handful of ministries that are close to our hearts. We feel particularly called to ministries that support East Africa (South Sudan and northern Uganda), and the needs of the poor and homeless in our city of Houston.
Christ admonished his followers to not announce with trumpets their service to the needy (Matthew 6:2), and we do not seek to do so. What we are attempting to do by communicating the firm’s target ministries is to provide awareness and opportunities to our network to better understand ministries that are on our radar. We are currently supporting three organizations: Star of Hope, 4 Africa, and Logos Leaders Outreach. Feel free to click the web links below to learn more about these great ministries.
STAR OF HOPE
Star of Hope is a Christ-centered community supporting Houston's homeless men, women, and children. Star of Hope encourages positive life changes through programs in spiritual growth, education, employment, life management, and substance abuse recovery.
4AFRICA
4 Africa has a particular focus on restoring and empowering South Sudanese and Ugandans to become good stewards of their communities to the glory of God. The ministry provides sustainable clean water and preventative health initiatives and also educates future leaders by imparting biblical principles. The goal is to raise up servant leaders in a country where nepotism and tribalism is pervasive, and where women and children are subjugated.
LOGOS LEADERS
LOGOS Leaders Outreach has the mission of discipleship training of men to know God through His Word (John 1 and Hebrews 4:12), with the goal of then leading and building up their families. This training occurs through small group interactions and one-on-one discipleship utilizing the Bible. The founder and executive director, Darin S. Maurer, has worked at discipling men to help fulfill the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20) since coming to Christ in college.
